Familie ist, wer zusammen isst
Shared meals strengthen bonds, foster communication and create a sense of belonging. Often, they’re the only moment when everyone comes together to connect and reflect. This insight shaped the concept for this TV commercial, expanding the idea of family beyond blood ties to include friends, colleagues and chosen connections. It frames family not as a structure, but as a feeling – one that feels at home at McDonald’s. A German play on words captures the idea: “Familie ist, wer zusammen isst.” (“Family is who eats together.”)
