Still as good after 20 years
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the BahnCard, the campaign “Still as good after 20 years” brought the idea of lasting value to life in a visually striking way. In collaboration with Argentine photographer Irina Werning, childhood photographs were recreated with the same protagonists – exactly 20 years later. The side-by-side comparisons captured the passage of time while highlighting what remains unchanged, drawing a parallel to the enduring benefits of the BahnCard. The campaign was rolled out as a nationwide TV campaign, supported by a Germany-wide out-of-home and print campaign that amplified its emotional impact in public spaces. As an extension, a large-scale social media challenge invited customers to recreate their own photos from 20 years ago. Participants had the chance to win a free BahnCard 100, with the most compelling recreations selected as winners.
